Barrel Reserve Chardonnay and Chambourcin take Silver at 2012 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

The ninth annual San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition was held earlier this year with awards announced in January. This year’s competition was the largest in the history of the event with 5500 entries making it the largest competition of American wines in the world.

Sharrott Winery’s 2010 Barrel Reserve Chardonnay and 2010 Chambourcin took silver medals, respectively, in the Chardonnay and Red-Hybrid categories. Visit the competition website for a complete list of participating wineries and results.
